Isaac Adams

Pro Staff Isaac Adams with a 13.24 pounds largemouth bass07/18/2011: On Memorial weekend I landed the biggest fish I've ever caught. Here are pictures of the 13.24 lbs. beast! It was not caught it on a Poor Boy's Baits, nonetheless I always appreciate your support and your great products. I can however say that Poor Boy's Baits has improved my fishing skills and has greatly contributed to 2 different Anglers of the Year titles. Poor Boy's always has a spot in my angler's arsenal at any given tournament or practice, whether in a club event or a big Pro-am tourney.

Isaac Adams with two big Kaweah Lake largemouth bass12/01/2010: I caught these fish on 11/21/2010. I caught them on swimbaits at Kaweah Lake. I have been catching good fish on the Poor Boy's Baits Silly Rabbit as well.

11/11/2010: Finished up the last 2 tournaments with the Visalia Bass Club. My brother Josh and I took first place in the October tourney with 13 lbs on spoons, spinnerbaits and Poor Boy tubes. I also used a Poor Boy tube as a trailer on a blue gill pattern spinnerbait. They fish tore it up. In our tourney last weekend, we pulled off a last minute big fish to jump us to 2nd place which secured our points lead for the Angler of the Year Award! It has been a great year for us and I am extremely thankful for all your support.

Isaac Adams with 4 pound largemouth bass08/15/2010: Here's a picture (L) of a 4 pounder I caught while pre-fishing for a night tourney. Notice the cool poor boy jersey? I cashed a check in that tourney with a 7th place finish.

Isaac Adams 3rd Place Visalia Bass Club April 10, 201006/29/2010: 3rd place in a team tournament in the Visalia Bass Club. It was on April 10, 2010 at Lake Kaweah near Lemon Cove, Ca. It was a tough day and a very slow bite. I was able to pull out a much needed 2 lbs. 3rd keeper of the day on a wiggler in the green pumpkin purple rigged wacky style with half a nail weight in each side. My partner and I caught only five fish all day to place 3rd thanks to Poor Boy's Wiggler.

I have done well on the wiggler and have caught good fish in tournaments with them. I recently fished a Pro tournament at Clear Lake and caught fish up to 4 lbs. on it. I've utilized poorboy's baits in every tournament and practice this year and that's no lip service. It has become a great bait I can rely on and have a lot of faith in especially when I'm looking for that much needed bite. In my opinion it out fishes the popular senko 5 to 1.

Ted Braun

Ted Braun Darter Jr Carp07/16/2011: I bet this is the biggest fish ever caught on a Darter Jr. We estimated the carp at around 30 lbs. The bass is a 4 pounder (R) caught on Randall Chain 7/16/11.

Ted Braun Randall Chain bass

Ted Braun with 4 pounds 15 ounce Randall Chain largemouth bass07/02/2011: My name is Ted Braun, I've been on Poor Boy's pro staff for many years. Not sure but I think my brother Tony and I may have been the first to fish for Kim and Shawn. Anyway, this is a pic (L) of a hog I caught on the Randall Chain 6-30-2011. I'm retired now and fish almost every day, and I fish in over 40 tournaments a season. Good fishin, Ted

Tom Brunk Silver Lake largemouth bass06/29/2011: This is the 4 pounder Tom Brunk (R) caught using a Poor Boy's Erie Darter drop shot Mango Magic on Silver Lake June 28th, 2011. Good fishin, Ted

Ryan Cooper

Ryan Cooper smallmouth bassI am doing well in New Hampshire. I just finished up training/practicing with Chad Pipkens on Lake Champlain for the 2011 Everstart Series. We put the Flogger to some good use! I have got to get one ASAP! Awesome!

Ryan Cooper largemouth bassThis season I am guiding full time and competing in the BASS Opens as well as several local tournaments. I just won the 2011 New Hampshire Last Cast BASS Open on New Found Lake on the shaky head darter and Dank Tube.

Jeff Cutler

Jeff Cutler day 1 of his 2011 Club Classic in June on Lake Oneida06-27-2011: I fished my club Sweet Arrow Anglers "Classic" Tournament the weekend of June 18th and 19th at Oneida Lake in New York. I was $1,000 to the winner. I found some good fish the weekend before pre-fishing. Almost all of the anglers in the event were after the smallmouth. I targeted largemouth on docks. I used a Poor Boy's Wiggler Worm in Watermelon Candy and another stick worm wacky-rigged.

Saturday I caught around 40 fish with my 5 best going 15.04 lbs, good enough for first place after day one. All my fish came by skipping baits deep under shallow docks with weeds around them.

Jeff Cutler on day two in his June 2011 club classic victory on Lake OneidaOn the second day I only had about 15 fish, but I made them count with a limit going an even 16 pounds. I also took lunker for the day with a 4 pound largemouth. I saw the fish for about five minutes under the dock. It would not hit a different stick worm after five tries. The first cast with the Poor Boy's Wiggler and she nailed it!! A total weight of 31.04 for two days was four pounds more than second place giving me the victory.

Five of the fish I weighed in the two days were on the Poor Boy's Wiggler. I am sold on its action and scent. The bass really really eat it. It is a weapon in my arsenal that I am not afraid to throw at any time. I want to thank Kim and everyone at Poor Boy's for putting out quality baits!!! I look forward to the rest of my season and the two BASS Northern Open events I will be fishing at Erie and Oneida.

Jeff Cutler with his bass at the 2010 Bassmaster Northern Open on Chesapeake Bay10-01-2010: I ended up 7th at the recent Northern Open at the Upper Chesepeake Bay. My days one and three fish came off wacky rigged 4 inch stick worms off docks with hard bottoms and my day two limit of smallmouths all came after 12pm on Poor Boys tubes in green pumpkin. I had a great time. Got to meet Ryan Said and Chad Pipkens. I will be fishing all three next season, just deciding now if it will be as a pro or co angler since I have now seen the schedule.

08/03/2010: I won the Sweet Arrow Anglers opening tournament in April at the Potomac River. I did get 2 of my fish on a Poor Boys Bertha Bug. I won our event at Cayuga Lake in NY. I had a good limit, but knew I needed a kicker fish. In the last hour I saw a decent fish i thought to be about 3 pounds cruising shallow. I threw a Poor Boys Roadkill Blues tube to her and she inhaled it. It actually went 2 ounces under 5 pounds. That gave me a 14 and a half pound bag to get the win.

Jeff Cutler (L) and his partner with a winning bag of largemouth and smallmouth bassMy partner and I won the Avon Anglers tournament on 7-19 at Onondaga Lake. Again the roadkill blues tube skipped under a dock brought 2 fish to the scales for us.

I fished the BASS northern open at Lake Champlain as a co angler. I ended up missing a check by 5 ounces. The second day however I caught a lot of fish on the Big Bass creatures bait and the Bertha Bug. One of my 3 fish I weighed in came on the bug. I have quite a few more events coming up this season including the final BASS Northern open at the Upper Chesapeake In Maryland. I am hoping for a good finish there, because I do fish there quite often which I hope will give me a leg up at that event.

Chris Flint

Chris Flint and father with big smallmouth bass07/09/2011: Attatched is a photo of my dad and I with a 19.62 pound bag of smallmouths we caught in a recent tournament on 07-09-11. The tournament drew 30 boats and we finished in second place. Here is our fishing pattern.

The weather was clear 75F with a slight wind out of the NNW at 5-10 mph. The location was the St. Lawrence River out of Massena NY. I targeted main river ledges with heavy current. I used the Erie Darter Jr in Mango Magic with a #1 drop shot hook and a hand poured 1/2 ounce pencil drop shot weight. The fish were off the bottom approximately 18 inches so a longer lead was used between the hook and the sinker. Fish were located on the drops or breaks behind large boulders. Overall throughout the day we caught about 30 smallmouth on the Erie Darter Jr. Thanks Poor Boys!

Josh Fulks

09/20/2010: My bass club, Tulip City Bass, recently had our end of the year Classic on Lake Leelanau. The weather was wet and windy but some how my partner and I managed to catch 3 keepers that were good enough for 1st place and big bass. Our total weight was 10 lbs. and big bass of 4.98 lbs. The bite was very slow but we managed to figure out that they would hit on reaction baits. We caught our three keepers on rattle crankbaits and crankbaits in about 3 to 8 feet of water. Here's a picture of our big bass!

09/15/2010: I just recently fished a few tournaments with great success. August 29, 2010 I fished the TBF State Fish Off on Lake St. Clair where I finished 2nd and qualified for the Northern Divisional in Oct. of 2011. I fished Lake Erie in 10-20 feet of water using a dropshot rig paired with a Green pumpkin & Purple DS Darter. Some of my fish came using this technique while drifting gravel beds and rocky shoals. The rest of my fish came in the Detroit river fishing a rattle shad crankbait. The fish were schooling up in the area I fished, making them very easy to catch. You couldn't move the bait fast enough to keep it away from them. My final weight was 17.50 lbs. which is small for Erie but good enough to make the state team that day. Looking forward to going to Minnesota next year for the Divisional, hopefully for a Michigan 4-peat.

September 4, 2010 My partner and I fished a 30 boat tournament in Allegan County where we finished 3rd with 3 bass weighing 9.5 lbs. and recieved big bass honors with a 4.22 lbs. smallie for the day. We fished crankbaits and Erie Darters in Mango Magic to catch our limit in the Kalamazoo River. The darters were fished on 1/4 oz. football jig heads in anywhere from 2 to 8 feet of water near the bank.

September 11, 2010 My partner and I fished another tournament in Allegan County where we finished 4th with 5 bass weighing 13.44 lbs. We fished crankbaits, Gobies and Erie Darters in Green Pumpkin & Golby colors to catch our limit on the Kalamazoo River. The darters were fished on 1/4 oz. texas rigs in anywhere from 2 to 15 feet of water near shell beds. We also found some of our fish on the pier heads where we dropshotted with the gobies, thats where we caught our biggest fish a 4.35lb. smallie.

09/07/2010: Just wanting to let you know I recently fished the Michigan TBF state fishoff on Lake St. Clair August 29th. I had 17.5 lbs. which was good enough for second place. This entitles me to fish the TBF divisional for 2011 in Minnesota next October as one of the 12 Michigan team members. I was shocked! I couldn't believe that my weight held up! After all, it is St. Clair, home of the best smallie fishing in the country. I caught most of my fish on a rattle crankbait and Poor Boy's Baits DS Darter (cinn/purp) on a dropshot rig. What an amazing place St. Clair and also Lake Erie are this time of the year. Just thought I would share.

05/16/2011: We had our Indiana Bass Federation Top 8 tournament last weekend on Lake Wawasee. I finished in 2nd place overall. I used the Poor Boy's Darter Jrs. in Green Pumpkin. I had a limit the first day which had me leading after day one, but I lost 2 good fish day 2 which would have given me the win. I only came in with 4 fish Sunday. I ended up getting top Ranger Cup Money for the tournament and our top 8 club as a whole won overall. Our top 4 guys all caught fish on the Poor Boy's Darters too. Three of our clubs members qualified for the State Finals in July on the Ohio River at Rocky Point. Also, I leave tommorow for Shreveport, LA for the BFL All American. I spent some time on the lake a month ago and feel like I have a good shot!! I am hoping for the best.
